Timeline, events and library

Three pages sit beside the notes: the timeline of what happened in the story, events for game nights and other plans, and the library of links the group shares.

The timeline

Timeline lists what happened in the story, session by session. RealmBinder builds it from your session notes: arrivals, combat, discoveries, revelations, quests started or completed, items found or lost, deaths and more. Each moment links to the entries involved.

  • Search the timeline, or filter it by event type.
  • Turn on Major events to see only the turning points.
  • Sort sessions chronologically or with the most recent first.

The timeline is built from the notes, so if a moment looks wrong, check the session note it came from.

Events

Events is the campaign's calendar for things outside the story, such as your next game night. The next upcoming event also shows on the campaign overview.

Owners and members can create events. Choose New event, or pick a day on the calendar, then add:

  • A title, date and time.
  • An optional location and description, such as what players should expect.
  • An image, or an icon from the list.

To schedule a regular game, turn on Repeat this event and choose every week, every other week or monthly. A series can run forever, end on a date, or stop after a number of occurrences. When you edit or delete one occurrence, choose whether the change applies to This occurrence, This and future or All occurrences.

Events are not available in archived campaigns.

Library

Library collects links the group shares: character sheets, rules references, a shared drive, a Discord server or a playlist. Links are grouped into categories.

Owners and members can add a link with a name, URL, category and optional description, and can add, rename or remove categories. A category must be empty before it can be deleted. Everyone in the campaign can open the links.
