Getting started with RealmBinder

What RealmBinder does

RealmBinder turns tabletop RPG session notes into connected campaign knowledge. Notes remain the source material; RealmBinder helps organize them into people, places, quests, relationships, events, maps, and timelines.

Create an account

Open the RealmBinder sign-in page and choose an available method:

  • Email and password
  • Discord
  • Google

RealmBinder is in closed beta, so you need a beta invitation, or an invitation to someone's campaign, to create an account.

Create or join a campaign

After signing in, open Campaigns.

Creating a campaign needs your own beta workspace. Invited players can join campaigns but not create them. To create one:

  1. Choose New campaign.
  2. Add a campaign name and optional description.
  3. Pick the game system, or leave it unset for homebrew or system-free play.
  4. Confirm the campaign locale, timezone, theme, and AI guidance.

To join one, open the invitation link sent by a campaign owner or administrator and sign in with the invited account.

Add a session note

Open the campaign and choose Notes. Enter freeform notes, import supported material, upload a recording, or start a session interview. Keep the original text as the source of truth and review an AI-generated rewrite before sharing it.

Review connected knowledge

After a note is saved, RealmBinder creates and links compendium entries for the characters, places, factions, items and quests in it, and suggests quest and character status changes for someone to apply or dismiss. Check names, aliases, relationships and summaries against your notes.

Invite your group

Campaign owners and authorized administrators can invite members. Assign the least powerful role needed and review membership when someone leaves the group.

Prepare for the next session

Use the campaign overview, notes, entities, timeline, events, maps, and table brief to retrieve context without rereading the entire chronicle.
